Philippe, 55 years old
Philippe is worried because he works abroad, and notices that his mother, Jacqueline, who lives in France, is less and less autonomous. He contacts Filassistance, who puts him in touch with a Social Assistant. It provides information on the possible legal aid in case of loss of autonomy (APA, CESU, pension fund, mutual insurance, etc.). Philippe organizes for his mother a phone appointment with the social worker. Following this interview, the Social Assistant diagnosed a loss of autonomy allowing the constitution of an APA (Personalized Autonomy Allowance) file. For example, Jacqueline can benefit from additional cleaning hours, financial assistance from her pension fund for the installation of a shower and the reorganization of her home, thanks to the intervention of an occupational therapist.
“As an expatriate, I rarely have the opportunity to be with my mother. Thanks to the advice of Filassistance, I was able to help her even though I live far away from her.
